About Aldo's Art (Page 2) :
Most artists will tell you that they do artwork for themselves, I don't. I do artwork for other people to look at, maybe they will learn something, maybe they will laugh, maybe they will smile, maybe they will cry, but I do art for other people. I think one of the biggest rewards that I receive from my artwork is when people tell me that my artwork makes them feel better about how messed up life is.
There are two things I never wanted to really do when it came to art. I never wanted to have just one style and I never wanted to have to explain my artwork to a high degree. I hated when I went to an art show and the artists would have good stuff, but it was all in one style and just variations of one theme...I never saw the point to it. I also hated when the artists would have to
explain how his painting of a Cheerios Box really was a
expression of his hatred for love in the 90's...I mean, it's
not that they're bad artists...it's just something I never
wanted to be.
